Gordon Ray Nichols 65 of Elkhart, Indiana passed away at his home on February 23, 2026

He was born October 20, 1960 in Elkhart Indiana to Melvin Nichols of Auburn, Indiana and Josephine "Payne" Nichols of Detroit, Michigan

Surviving are two daughter Autumn "Delbert" Howard of Cambria MI and Amber Nichols of Jerome MI a Dog named Jake, Partner Nancy Mercer of Elkhart, IN 

7 grandkids Madisyn, Jason, Braxton, Keegan, Ariana, Landon and Elizabeth. 5 brothers

Fred "Noreen" Hieser of California, Jack "Hazel" Nichols of South Bend, Indiana, Scott "Janice" Nichols of South Carolina, Roger Nichols of Elkhart Indiana and Gary Nichols 4 sisters 

Carol Nichols of Elkhart, Indiana, Sondra Nichols of Elkhart, Indiana, Beverly Frocillo, Laurie Shook Rosa and many nieces nephews and cousins.

Gordon loved spending his time with family going to the casino, camping, fishing, working on cars, and remodeling houses, spending time with his grandkids and children.

Preceded in death were Parents Melvin Nichols and Josephine Nichols, 2 brothers  Warren Nichols and Charles "Chuck" Nichols and a nephew Blake Bottorff.

Celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with his care.
